Abstract: Molluscs were collected during a survey of Lambay Island. Collections were mainly from the shore, though a few inshore dredgings yielded additional records. The character of the shore line was not conducive to much molluscan life and indeed only 58 conspicuous species were found. This number rose to 109 after the shore material was examined. Shell sand was also examined and this proved exceptionally productive. One addition to the marine Mollusca of Ireland was recorded, Runcina hancocki. This was the first attempt to list the marine molluscan fauna of Lambay Island and a complete list of the species collected is presented with place of collection and note of abundance.
