Abstract: Paper records the discovery of 'the little brackish-water' mollusc Paludestrina confusa (formerly better known as Hydrobia similis)' in 'a small tidal tributary of the river, Barrow near New Ross, Co. Wexford. Its occurrence in Ireland is of special interest...[since it is] so rare in Great Britain and such a thoroughly southern species elsewhere'.
