Abstract: This is a description of Dooaghtry, a remote and interesting area, lying at the western side of Mweelrea Mountain, Co. Mayo. Note is made of the remarkable and rich molluscan fauna of the area, which includes a wide and long stretch of sandy beach. More interesting to Praeger was the curious flora of the area. A number of maritime species are listed.
