Abstract: A brief but detailed account of the capture of two anemones during dredging to 16 fathoms off Church Island, Skerries, Co. Dublin is presented. Adamsia palliata was noted as rare in inshore waters, while Cerianthus lloydii was a new addition to the marine fauna of the east coast. The latter specimen was first thought to be a Gephyrean.
