Abstract: This short note reports on a publication in the Proc. Zool. Soc. 1915, pp. 559-566 by J. F. Harcuer on the discovery of two specimens of Cuvier's Whale (Ziphius curvirostris) on the Irish coast. The first was stranded at Fethard, Co. Wexford and the second specimen, which was recorded from Unionhall, Co. Cork (see Ir. Nat. 1915, p. 108) was originally thought to be a bottle-nosed whale.
