Abstract: Paper presents an account of experiments to test if young annelid worms (Lineus gesserensis), which were collected as egg masses near Bullock Harbour, Dublin Bay, are positively phototrophic. The annelids were found to be positively phototrophic though this behaviour was not shared with mature specimens. The greater number of eye spots on the mature specimens was noted.
