Abstract: Paper reviews advances in Irish marine zoology, with regard to the cruises of the Fisheries Branch steamer. The period of review is between 1910 and 1915. Operations were suspended between 1915 and 1917 due to the war. A report on the condition of the fishing grounds on the Down, Louth, Dublin and Meath coasts is noted, the distribution of the Dublin Bay Prawn is considered, and in another report salinity and temperature of seawater is investigated in the Irish Channel. Note is made of a survey in Blacksod Bay, Co. Mayo fishing ground to test the assertion that the whaling station present there was detrimental to fisheries; it apparently was not. New fish species and a report on the sea movements of eel fry are noted. Research into molluscs, crustaceans, polychaetes, echinoderms, cnidarians and sponges is reviewed. New records are noted.
