Abstract: A short note on the capture of the second and third albino specimens of the angler fish Lophius piscatorius from the Dingle Bay, Co. Kerry region in 1994 and 1995. Albinism and colour abnormalities in general in this genus are also discussed. There is some speculation that a microsporean parasite may be contributing to this condition.
