Abstract: Paper reports on the strandings of by-the-wind sailors Velella velella in 1992, which were the largest reported in Irish waters. Detailed records from counties Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal during July to November 1992.
