Abstract: This paper describes the present distribution and reviews past records of intertidal Zostera species in Co Dublin; in Dublin Bay, and in the estuaries at Baldoyle, Malahide and Rogerstown. Some ecological data on Z. angustifolia and Z. noltii are presented. Data on plant biomass and density are presented as well as percentage organic matter, silt and clay content of sediments from Zostera strands.
