Abstract: The most recent (as of 1992) captures of the torsk, Brosme brosme in Irish waters are recorded and a review, including distributional records, of previous Irish records is given. A size analysis is also provided for those caught in Irish waters. The current status of the species would appear to be rather uncommon and localized.
