Abstract: Specimens of Synoicum incrustaum were collected between 1982 and 1986 at sites on the north coast of Ireland during the Northern Ireland Sublittoral Survey. This considerably extends the range of the species southwards, previously recorded only from northern Scandinavia and the Faroes. Descriptions to aid identification are given.
