Abstract: As part of a series of collections made with an underwater light trap, gribbles (xylophagous isopods in the genus Limnoria) were collected at Dunmore East, Co. Waterford and Strangford Lough. In the former location the trap was set on coarse gravel at 5 m in the evening. In the latter, the trap was again put out overnight but suspended from rotting timbers of a beached hulk. In addition to gribbles, ostracods and copepods were collected in association with them. Their distribution other than Ireland are given.
