Abstract: Paper discusses inshore records of the blackfish Centrolophus niger. The irregularity of its occurrence supports the view that the species is scarce, therefore any captures in Irish waters are worth recording. Date of capture, method, location and measurements are given. Some length, weight relationships are provided.
