Abstract: This paper presents an account of the survey carried out at two oyster fisheries in Galway Bay, one derelict and one cultivated. The food of the starfish Asterias rubens was being investigated. Surveys were made by SCUBA divers. Details are given with regards to size and abundance of the starfish and their prey items.
