Abstract: Two areas on the coast of Co. Galway were sampled for species of harpacticoid copepods in the genus Tisbe. The first was a sheltered granite outcropping containing many large intertidal pools in the Ascophyllum nodosum zone. The second was an exposed limestone terrace with some cover of sand in the mid shore region with a much more varied algal cover. Tispe spp. live among benthic algae. Numbers collected and their distribution with respect to abiotic factors is discussed.
