Abstract: This paper presents data from 22 localities on the Irish coast from Rosslare Harbour in the southeast, along the south coast to Dunmanus Bay in the southwest on the marine sphaeromatid isopod Campecopea hirsuta. It is an intertidal species occurring on rocky shores, particularly those exposed to wave action, where it can be found in rock crevices, among empty barnacle shells and in the small erect lichen Lichina pygmaea. Specific site details are provided as are some estimates of abundance.
