Abstract: A short report on the discovery of the nudibranch Hancockia uncinata during SCUBA diving at Inishbearna, Killary Harbour, Co. Galway. This is the first record in Ireland. The site was sheltered from both swell and wave action and little influenced by local tidal currents. Conspicuous species characterizing the habitat are listed as are dietary items. Distinctive features of this species are also listed.
