Abstract: During an investigation of distribution and population structure of Nephrops norvegicus off southeast Ireland a rich by-catch of fish species was encountered. The composition of that, is presented in the paper with some additional notes on certain less common or noteworthy species. The fishing gear used was primarily a Gundry prawn trawl fitted with a 70 mm cod end and a 150 mm 'lifter net'. Area surveyed is illustrated.
