Abstract: Paper presents information on fish by-catch data from a cruise determining size composition and distribution of Nephrops norvegicus in the north Irish Sea. Trawls were made with a 'Boris 600' fish and prawn trawl with a mean cod-end mesh size of 76 mm. The cod-end was fitted with a fine mesh cover (16mm) to study prawn escapement. A map is provided with the appropriate location of each trawling station. The species of fish caught are listed in their taxonomic families together with details of their percentage occurrence in the western and eastern regions of the Irish Sea.
