Abstract: During a survey of littoral fauna in Co Wexford from 1976 to 1980 37 species of fish were recorded from rocky shores, sandy beaches, and brackish waters. All of these have previously been recorded in Irish waters. On sandy beaches, collections were made at low tide in water up to 70 cm depth with a Riley push net, and in 1979-80, with a small 6 m beach seine. In Lady's Island Lake fish were obtained from gill nets of 34-40/m (herring nets) fyke nets and both large and small beach seines. Hand nets were used at all localities. Details of exact locality, habitat and period and frequency of sampling are given. Species list includes some information on size of specimen, frequency, date and habitat.
