Abstract: An account of the biology of Montagu's sea snail, Liparis montagui, a small sucker fish, from specimens collected from the Galway coast between 1973 and 1976. Data are provided on sex and size collected and location and habitat. Length frequency distribution, age/length frequency and size frequency distribution of the maturing oocytes in the ovaries of a subsample are given. Main food items are also discussed.
