Abstract: Yarrell's Blenny, Chirolophis ascanii, is a small marine benthic fish occurring on rocky ground in the shallower waters of northern Europe. It has only been recorded in Irish waters on just a few occasions. This paper reports on the recent (1980) capture of six specimens in Galway. Mensural data are presented here.
