Abstract: Fishes and benthic organisms taken during a cruise of the British Fisheries research vessel Clione (on which the author sailed) off the east coast of Co Wexford from 10 to 13 October 1976 are recorded. The area covered lay between 52 26 N lat, 52 41 n lat, 05 59 W long and 06 08 W long. The gear used during the investigation included an otter trawl with 80 mm mesh cod-end, a Lowestoft frame trawl and a fine-meshed Boothbay trawl; the otter trawl was towed for periods of one hour, and other gear was fished for 10-20 minutes at a time. While a complete species list is given, some are given special consideration.
