Abstract: A short note on the algal collection of Sylvanus Wear. It consists of 273 specimens, with most bearing the dates 1915 or 1917, and collected in counties Londonderry, Antrim, and Down. In many cases the locality of the specimens have been well recorded and their identifications verified. The collection can be found in the Dept. of Botany at the Ulster Museum.
