Abstract: A short paper on the first record of the red alga Phyllophora sicula (previously known as P. palmettoides) in Ireland. It was found growing on rocks below Mean Low Water Springs at Camden in the Cork Harbour area. The plants were sterile and were found only on gently sloping sandstone rocks in sand-affected habitats.
