Abstract: This paper gives observations on rare or little known fishes recorded on the Connemara coast during the years 1973-1975. The main areas of investigation were Kilkieran Bay and Mweenish Bay. Brief mention is made of some species recorded during a general benthic survey of Killary Bay. Paper is presented as an annotated (with area, depth, substratum, total length, standard length, given where possible) species list. Comments also given on distribution and abundance.
