Abstract: A short report on the dispersion of the cyclopoid copepod, Mytilicola intestinalis, a parasite in the intestine of the mussel Mytilus edulis, since its presence in Ireland was first recorded in 1948. The occurrence of the parasite was investigated at a number of localities on the coasts of counties Galway and Clare.
