Abstract: A report on new records (1969, 1970) of the luminescent jellyfish, Pelagia noctiluca, in Irish waters. A brief description is given, as well as an account of its occurrence (not recorded for 50 years) in Irish waters, and its geographical origin. New records off the coasts of counties Mayo and Kerry.
