Abstract: Paper presents data on the collection of pycnogonids from the littoral zone at eight locations of varying exposure and habitat in the Galway Bay area (counties Galway and Clare). Specimens were collected by gathering small seaweeds, hydroids, polyzoans, and algae holdfasts from the shores. These were allowed to stand in dishes for several hours and then sorted. Ten species were found. Short notes are provided for each species describing general distribution.
