Abstract: Between 1967 and 1970, 27 species of Bryozoa were recorded from shores in or near Galway Bay during field courses held by Zoology Dept., Univ. College Swansea. This paper draws attention to two species in particular, Callopora rylandi and Membraniporella nitida, to provide the means for distinguishing them from the forms with which they have been confused and to stimulate a search to establish their further distribution. Synonymy, generic characteristics, detailed description (including diagram), habitat and geographical distribution are given for the above two species, as well as Cribrilina cryptooecium and Cribrilina punctata.
