Abstract: The second Irish record (and the first from the west coast of Ireland) for the marine amphipod Hyale perieri is presented. During a survey of exposed rocky shores in Cork and Kerry at low spring tides adult males and females and juveniles were taken from banks of exposed mussels and from crevices and pools in the rocks. The range and mean size are given.
