Abstract: Paper presents records (collected in October 1967) of shore or littoral fishes from the Galway Bay area for six species not included by Went (1957) in the first edition of his 'List of Irish Fishes', with two of these new to Irish waters. The occurrence of some other uncommon shore fishes in the area is also documented. Previous records are also discussed.
