Abstract: Paper lists (with brief notes) 36 marine and 12 freshwater algal specimens which are part of a collection by John Templeton held at the algal herbarium of the Ulster Museum. A reproduction of a paper given by Templeton to the Geological Society in London in 1815 is also reproduced.
