Abstract: Paper presents details (which include general habitat, and both a general and detailed physical description, including figures) of four species of shore bugs or saldas from the genus Saldula. Paper addresses the possibility of 'unusual' saldas from Lough Hyne, Co. Cork. The group concerned presents considerable taxonomic difficulties and this is addressed in the paper.
