Abstract: Paper presents records of new or noteworthy lichens from Ireland. Of particular interest with respect to coastal work was the recording of Spilonema revertens. It is usually an inland lichen growing on damp rocks but at Slea Head, Co. Kerry it was collected on exposed granite rocks on the sea-shore where it was developing especially well around the holdfasts of Ramalina siliquosa. It has also been found abundantly on rocks along the Pacific coast in Oregon and in Vancouver Ireland, British Columbia.
