Abstract: A short note on post-glacial raised beaches in Ireland, in particular one found on the north side of the little peninsula running out west of Kinvara to Aughinish, at the southeastern corner of Galway Bay. It is not much above the level of the modern storm beach and all the shells found in the small excavation occur along the coast to-day.
