Abstract: A short report on the finding of two species of parasitic copepods on a basking shark, Cetorhinus maximus, stranded on the beach at Holywood, Co. Down. The first species was the caligid Dinematura producta, which has not previously been recorded in Irish waters. The second species was the dichelistid Nemesis lamna.
