Abstract: Paper examines the occurrence of Urophycis blennoides, the greater fork beard, in Irish waters. Size distribution for 135 fish taken from the Dingle area in April 1960 and later in June and July are given. The difficulties of ageing, sexing and examining diet are discussed.
