Abstract: Paper presents information on a sample (one dip of a bucket) of water from the surface of Strangford Lough. It contained 846 euphausids which were identified as Meganyctiphanes norvegica. No other species were present. Body size distribution and sex ratios are investigated, as is the phenomenon of 'swarming'.
