Abstract: Although the paper provides a general survey of the marine algae of Mulroy Bay, Co. Donegal, it also briefly summarizes its geology, degree of exposure, climatic conditions and sea temperatures. A detailed map with localities visited is provided. The discussion of marine algae begins in the 'exposed region', with habitat descriptions given in addition to species found. Paper is to be continued.
