Abstract: Paper attempts a broad classification (with the aid of a map) of the coastal zone from Lough Foyle to Carlingford Lough in Northern Ireland. It classifies according to the development good and bad, with attention drawn not only to beauty spots, but also to the areas of spoilation. Area covered is from low water mark to approximately one quarter to one half mile inland.
