Abstract: A short note on the collection of a single mature female specimen of Doropygus psyllus, (now Doropygella) taken from the ascidian Ascidia conchilega at Rock Angus, a small island at the entrance to Strangford Lough, Co. Down. This is the first occasion on which this doropygid copepod has been found in association with this host. It is also the first record of its occurrence in Irish waters.
