Abstract: Paper discusses results from a systematic monthly check during the years 1951-1953 on the seasonal behaviour of the alga Nitophyllum punctatum in the Galway Bay district. Direct observation of attached plants were made in that part of the upper infra-littoral belt which was uncovered at spring tides.
