Abstract: Paper reports on a study in which using carbon-14 assays, primary production rates were measured in the surface waters of Belfast Lough, Northern Ireland. During the surveys, water temperature and light penetration were measured. In water samples, salinity, nitrate, phosphate, silicate and chlorophyll were measured and the results are reported here.
