Abstract: The algal flora (predominantly littoral) of eleven sites around Bantry Bay, Co. Cork, particularly around Whiddy Island, are described and each site is briefly described qualitatively. Of the 166 species recorded, 88 are new records for Bantry Bay and 7 are new records for Co. Cork.
