Abstract: Paper reports on the results of a monthly sampling programme of mussel beds near the southernmost point of the shoreline to investigate the breeding cycle of two species of isopods, Idotea pelagica and I. granulosa at Carnsore Point, Co. Wexford from July 1978 to October 1979. Seasonal changes of population density, length distribution in males, females and brooding females and breeding cycle were reported for both species.
