Abstract: This paper provides a detailed description of habitats, both littoral and sublittoral, on and around the Isle of Man. Fish nursery grounds and the area's importance to seabirds are also discussed. Habitats and communities are also described for the Calf of Man, a rocky islet situated 500 m off the southwest coast of the Isle of Man.
