Abstract: This paper describes the geomorphological variations in offshore bar topography along a 38 km section of high-energy, meso-tidal coastline in Northern Ireland. It also examines the morphometric structure of bars at two sites' and discusses 'the relationships between short term bar movements, wave and tide conditions and the form of the adjacent shoreline.
