Abstract: Paper reports on the subtidal benthic amphipods occurring in Belfast Lough, N.I., with the distribution and ecology of selected species described. Faunal samples were obtained through a single sample of sediment taken at 41 sites in Belfast Lough during December 1976 using a 0.1 square mm grab. The distribution patterns of some of the numerically important species described in relation to environmental variables.
